Overview

AmTrust Financial is currently seeking a talented individual to fill a role as a Vulnerability and Patch Management Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Operations, this position will play a leading role in driving information security analysis and vulnerability remediation. This role is a key business enabler to provide information security risk analysis and strategic recommendations for the ongoing improvement of Information Security. This role will work to mature the patch management and vulnerability remediation processes, as well as our overall security posture within IT. In this role, you will be engaging with employees, stakeholders, and executives to ensure appropriate and up-to-date security management.

Responsibilities

Maintain process ownership and oversight for all patch management and vulnerability remediation processes within IT.
Consolidate and align, where appropriate, all IT patch management and vulnerability remediation activities into a single program; including but not limited to: process ownership, reporting, audit responses, and continuous improvement efforts.
Partner with the IT Operations and Engineering teams on the execution, maintenance, and improvement of day-to-day patch management and vulnerabilities remediation activities
Collaborate with application development teams and information security to ensure alignment and execution of all core functions of the vulnerability management lifecycle
Maintain a close working relationship with information security to ensure partnerships between information security and information technology are maintained and matured
Builds effective relationships with key stakeholders who own and support IT infrastructure, applications, processes, and operations
Execute Information Security strategy to proactively identify risk and drive remediation
Act as point of contact for managing and delivering various vulnerability and remediation reports
Implement security improvements by assessing baseline, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirement.
Improve patching metrics and report on a weekly and monthly basis to management
Improve maintenance windows and visibility to the stakeholders
Additional ad-hoc IT & Internal Audit & Risk/Compliance related initiatives and projects


Skills and Key Competencies:


In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Server platform and its components including Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012R2/ 2016, failover clustering, certificate services, IIS, and other related technologies
Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems.
Experience in supporting a 24x7 production environment
Cloud experience is a plus
Strong understanding of Server Patching with SCCM, ability to build collections, software update groups, troubleshoot all aspects of patch deployment
Experience troubleshooting with a group and be an active participant during large technology conversations.
Ability to be careful and thorough about detail.
Ability to brief technical risks and issues to executives and business leaders
Ability to handle pressure and deadline-oriented project demands as well as manage multiple initiatives.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Performs well in team environment, with staff at all levels, to achieve business goals.
Ability to think critically and work independently to meet objectives
Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Requirements and Qualifications:


Demonstrated knowledge of a complex enterprise server environment
Advanced knowledge of MS Windows, SCCM, Linux, Networking
Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues
Able to communicate and relate to people at all levels of an organization.
Works globally, and fosters communication with others and adapts communication styles as appropriate
A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus
Ability to work with peers in a team effort
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, telecommunications or related field; proven industry experience will be acceptable in lieu of degree
7+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Operations with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Server Environments.
MCSE is a plus
