Job Description
The Enterprise Talent Management and Experience Senior Manager role is responsible for designing and managing the training, communication, change management and on-going support of Allstates Performance Management, Succession Management, Talent Share, and Learner Experience strategies. This Sr Manager continuously researches, identifies and implements industry leading practices regarding talent experience, succession and performance management. Fully utilizing innovative training, communication, and technology solutions, the goal of this role is to increase employees understanding and engagement in our Performance Management philosophy, strategy and approach. Using this strategy, the Sr Manager will design succession development opportunities. This role will also redesign the TalentShare approach to temporary skill placement and employee exposure in different Areas of Responsibility. Finally, this role will work with other Senior Managers to design the Employee Learning and Development Experience to help drive learning and performance in the Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Manage an Enterprise-wide Performance Management philosophy and strategy, including performance management and development plans.
- Create a change navigation and communication plan to successful deploy Performance Management strategy to all business areas.
- Develop training, documentation and any needed support tools/guidelines to provide continuous reinforcement of the processes.
- Partner with our Workforce Insights and Diversity & Inclusion teams to measure the effectiveness of our processes and recommend solutions for driving improvement in Performance Management.
- Advise and consult with Human Resources business partners and functional leadership on talent and performance management, organizational capability building, and career development initiatives.
- Fully maximize the Allstate technology solutions and implement enhancements to the Performance Management system
- Stay up to date with leading performance management technologies, identifying ways to incorporate these tools into our Performance Management strategy, processes and/or training.
- Research, design, test and implement the Allstate TalentShare program, allowing employees to share their skills and talents in temporary assignments throughout the Enterprise
- Build and deploy a Learner Experience strategy, driving usage and engagement by employees to own their Learning, Development and Performance at Allstate.
- Oversee talent development efforts in succession planning, and identify and communicate development opportunities.
- Proven leadership experience of teams, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance discussions, employee relations, and coaching and developing associates
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required, Graduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or I/O Psychology preferred
- 7+ Years of experience managing a Performance Management, or Talent Assessment or Succession Planning systems/process with demonstrated success in designing and implementing talent management processes to build organizational capability and talent pipeline.
- Experience with tools including SAP, SuccessFactors, Metrics that Matter
- Stays current with skills by continually seeking opportunities for learning and development within their respective discipline(s)
- Possesses advanced working knowledge of policies and procedures in management or other technical fields
- Leverages awareness of current industry standards/environment to impact decisions and indicate requirements
- Serves as a subject matter expert and can consult on complex issues within their discipline(s) from an internal perspective
- Ability to think from both a strategic and tactical perspective
- Experience creating and implementing change management initiatives
