Corporate Strategy Integration Manager Job Summary

Salary Range: $107,827.00 - $124,001.00 - $140,175.00

The Corporate Strategy Integration Manager is responsible for the full cycle of process development, including the design, execution and continuous improvement of critical processes to support effective strategy development. Communicates process and structure to all parties involved in strategy development, facilitates others through the processes, and provides coaching as appropriate. Creates and maintains an effective knowledge base to drive collaboration.

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)

1. Responsible for the full cycle of process development, including the design, execution and continuous improvement of critical processes to support effective strategy development.

2. Performs trend forecasting, analysis and evaluation of competitive advantages to provide recommendations that inform strategic decision making.

3. Leads the process for reviewing, validating and refining corporate goals, objectives, metrics, and targets. In addition, leads the process for reviewing and updating the corporate strategy and competitive business strategies.

4. Performs target identification, deal evaluation, pre-deal integration, and post-merger integration.

5. Builds and maintains critical processes in support of effective strategic planning.

6. Gains approval on process recommendations with the Group Strategy Integration Leader and effectively communicates established processes to appropriate business leaders.

7. Effectively guides and coaches business leaders through strategic planning efforts by ensuring understanding of critical processes.

8. Collaborates with the appropriate leaders to enable the Strategy Committee to evaluate the execution of the competitive business strategies for each insurance segment, and the performance of the non-insurance business.

9. Internally promotes the essence of the corporate strategy, provides process updates, elevates successes and publishes performance metrics.

10. Creates effective discussion plans and agendas, captures discussion insights, conclusions, deliverables and next steps, and shares information as appropriate.

11. Establishes and maintains a team site for sharing knowledge.

12. Creates a schedule for evaluating continuous improvement and evolution of critical processes to support strategic planning.

13. Participates in a professional strategy focused group(s) to create a network of key contacts and resources, and stay abreast of industry and market trends and impacts to strategy development.

14. Travels as needed in order to perform other essential functions.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)

1. 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry.

2. 3+ years of experience with strategy development (e.g. competitive analysis, trend forecasting, evaluation of businesses, corporate mission and vision, goal setting and measuring).

3. Demonstrated strong process skills including the proven ability to evolve strategy frameworks and create effective process models.

4. Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate discussions with all levels of employees throughout the enterprise.

5. Strong written and oral communication skills with proven ability to think conceptually and pragmatically.

6. Proven ability to communicate with senior executives and become a trusted resource and advisor on strategic issues.

7. Demonstrated excellence facilitating a variety of meeting formats (e.g., working sessions, decisional briefings, brainstorming).

8. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities including the proven ability to collaborate effectively using a broad range of influence styles to drive desired results, work well with others, and is operate successfully as a member of a team.

9. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)

10. Knowledge of how the property-casualty market operates and understanding of current and emerging trends.

11. MBA or equivalent experience.

12. Valid drivers license and a driving record that conforms to the company standards.

Physical Requirements (specific to the role)

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing, and working on a computer for extended periods of time.)

Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, email, etc.

Ability to travel as required.

Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
