Assurant is currently seeking a Technical Compliance Analyst for the Miami, FL office

The Technical Compliance Analyst will be responsible for managing all aspects of the OneSumX application. They will lead, direct and manage all requirements gathering, set-up and maintenance of the system. This includes managing all new implementations across the Compliance and Legal teams. The implementation responsibilities will involve understanding and analyzing business processes to execute tasks, analyzing functions and finding process gaps within the various regulatory compliance areas. The Technical Compliance Analyst functions will require that they develop and maintain system processes to support corporate and business unit compliance. The individual must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills, have an ability to learn and understand Compliance and Legal operational functions in order to develop appropriate system processes. The individual must be able to manage multiple efforts as the same time. They must have the ability to develop system processes that meet the requirements of the various teams while still maintaining our ability for consistency within the application. This position will be responsible for developing all system reporting. The individual will be responsible for all daily activities to support the users such as daily file loads, user updates and user troubleshooting. This position will be required to engage with IT and/or our vendor as necessary to request support or troubleshoot system issues. This individual will be responsible for the development of application documentation and training materials.

Primary Responsibilities

40% - Process Implementation & Application Project Management

Will work closely with application users and vendors in the development of requirements.

Responsible for interpreting high-level business for compliance and complex implementations, with little or no background information or foundation.

Responsible for working directly with all levels of management within compliance team.

Seeks out potential gaps in processes and implements advanced, automated processes to mitigate exposure.

Responsible for the research, development, creation, documentation, quality assurance, and completion of complex implementations

Creates and maintains all application reporting

40% - System Support

Manages all the OneSumX system administration processes.

Works closely with the development and testing teams on complex system changes.

Analyzes, documents, troubleshoots, and resolves complex system and technical issues

Meets with IT and serves as a liaison for issues escalated; monitors and contributes to their resolution.

Responsible for resolving advanced production issues impacting varies systems.

Communicates with vendors such and relates crucial system information in the handling of technical problems.

Prepares test plans, conducts user system testing, creates new system requirements for system implementation, and performs system maintenance.

Responsible for providing training to users as needed.

20% - Reporting

Responsible for all reporting function within the OneSumX system including dashboards.

Creates, develops, and maintains advanced reports and queries for senior management.

Responsible for QA reporting within the OneSumX system.

Reports will include a variety of features included pivot tables, crosstabs, advanced formulas, sub-reports, multiple parameters, and indexing.

Attends meetings with the business and disseminates technical information on current and proposed reporting practices.

Guides internal users, senior management and the business through the technical process to determine and meet their needs

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

IT system support experience including project planning and tracking, risk and issue identification, and testing methodologies

Excels in the following business applications: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project, and Visio Process Flow

Experience in the technical and business project implementation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to analyze complex problems, propose effective solutions, and apply the business' vision and direction

Ability to lead and motivate team

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Ability to manage multiple projects, concurrently

Experience learning new reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

System Administrator experience

Technical expertise and high degree of analysis

Process implementation experience

Project Management related to system application projects

Ability to adapt to a wide variety of roles within the team

Ability to process time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make effective decisions, and communicate actions to a large audience
