Job Description

As a Car Sharing UI Product Designer, you will be part of the creative team the brings the digital experience for car sharing to life through interaction and visual style. You will play a key role in the creation, iteration and development of interactive and visual assets for the iOS, Android and responsive web experiences. You will actively participate in the design process from creating new interaction concepts to creating the finished product within brand guidelines across multiple touch points.

Job Responsibilities

• Create design assets for iOS and Android for multiple device sizes and resolutions.
• Participate in conceptualizing, designing, and executing new interactive ideas.
• Offer multiple content/creative solutions to a task.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, newest digital platforms and competitive landscape and apply best practices to all work.
• Create pixel perfect UI elements: illustrations, icons, photos and meticulous production of high-fidelity visual design comps
• Create and manage visual design documentation and specifications
• Support design consistency and quality across multiple digital channels, device platforms and screen resolutions.
• Build strong relationships with engineering, product management, research and content partners.
• Influence the shape of the product with research and data while executing design work using high quality wireframes, mockups, user journeys, and cross-platform interactive prototypes.
• Be fully invested in our culture of experimentation, and A/B testing.
• Understand and interpret brand, user, and business needs, in order to develop innovative, creative, and results-oriented digital solutions
• Maintain relevancy in the field by monitoring digital trends, new tools and workflows, attending workshops, and joining professional groups
• Effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in visual or graphics design or related field
• Minimum of 3 years design experience with iOS, Android or ecommerce

  Functional Skills

• Highly proficient with design tools (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Proficient with interactive prototyping tools (Origami, Invision, etc.).
• Have tremendous visual design skills and the ability to tell a story
• Excellent typographic skills and visual craftsmanship with strong design sensibilities.
• Strong graphic design skills with an ability to work in a wide range of visual styles, with a sophisticated visual sense.
• Ability to internalize a design language and evolve it into new contexts.
• Proven ability to work within brand guidelines to create compelling visual solutions
• Experience designing responsive pages as well as generating assets varying resolutions, screen sizes, and pixel densities for both for iOS and Android
• Understanding of capabilities and limitations of front end technologies, including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript (you will not be expected to code)
• Ability to bring projects from concept to completion, doing everything possible to ensure their success.
• An understanding of current mobile and desktop interaction conventions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions and influence key stakeholders.
• Must be detail-oriented with superior follow-through.
• Be independent and proactive
• Must be able to accept constructive criticism and to always drive to a better solution.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently with a strong sense of urgency.
• Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
• Must be highly motivated, positive and a passionate team player
• Ability to give and receive candid and continuous feedback.
• Ability to collaborate with individuals across differing areas of responsibility and levels of authority
• Be flexible: Issues move fast in our world so youll need to be highly adaptable and calm under pressure.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, be a self-starter, and be comfortable switching between vision-level and hands-on pixel-level work.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-caliber visual communication, web, mobile design and production skills.
