Job Description

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • To collect, organize, and interpret claim, financial, Human Resource and statistical information and to contribute to the development of conclusions based on the information.

  • Analyze and report monthly/weekly KPIs to help ensure optimal staffing levels in Yorks operating units through the following:

    • Update of daily data in the Management Operating System

    • Update and develop monthly/weekly analyses of claim data in support of the Claims Operations Team to drive improvements in financial results.

    • Interact with SVPs, VPs, Directors and Senior Managers within Claim Operations to research questions as they relate to optimizing staffing levels on their teams and how it is reported in the Management Operating System.

  • To perform ad-hoc data analyses including business intelligence on customer behaviors and general business support through data collection and processing.

  • Responsible for setup and maintenance of analytical models used in determining costs and prices

  • Assist in data collection, extraction, scrubbing, validity and sanity checks, transformation, and validation for a variety of projects.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to data analysis and reporting capabilities


KNOWLEDGE:

  • Communication Skills, both written and verbal, must be impeccable to present findings or translate the data into a concise, understandable document.

  • Must be motivated to maintain a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • 3 to 5 years experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Macros, etc.) and Google Sheets. Some Access DB experience is a plus. Must be able to run with project requests with minimum of supervision.

  • Demonstrated proficiency interfacing with data systems
