Job Details
The IT Resident program is an eighteen month program designed for college graduates to gain a well-rounded introduction and experience in Information Technology. This resident will focus on supporting our Project and Portfolio Management tool with in Assurants PMO. The resident will be assigned Mentors to partner with them throughout the program. The program includes both training and project work. This is a full-time position with full benefits.
Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Tool Analysis & Support
- Work with project team leaders to write user stories for PPM processes to be implemented in the PPM tool
- Perform setup and configuration functions for the PPM tool
- Identify opportunities to improve use and content of the PPM tool
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to facilitate data analysis
- Participate with other IT areas and project team members to coordinate and test functionality changes
- Create and modify procedure documentation, user guides and job aids as necessary
- Assist project team as needed to ensure project success
- Work through and resolve issues as needed
- Facilitate meetings as required
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA required, preferably Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or similar fields.
- Will consider candidates with a Bachelor's degree in other disciplines with a minimum 3.0 GPA and 1+ years of technical skills training.
- Strong aptitude for IT processes, systems/process improvement, quality assurance and/or project management.
- Candidate must be perceived as ambitious, enthusiastic, self-confident, versatile and willing to learn.
- Candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively, build credibility and trust, analyze problems and make decisions, and learn continuously.
- Candidate must possess leadership qualities (leading self and others)
