Job Summary
This dynamic role serves as the lead executive to drive Operational Effectiveness capabilities across Business Insurance Operations. This encompasses key capabilities enabling business support (Learning, Quality, Knowledge Management, Data & Analytics, Technology Implementation, Enabling Underwriting and Product changes, etc.) and accountability for the strategic scope of multi-year planning and execution of related key levers and deliverables in a multi-million dollar portfolio. This is a highly visible and transformational leadership role within a dynamic business segment for which the successful candidate will ensure strategic solutions and building of new capabilities to be leveraged across the organization. The role oversees a functionally aligned team of over 100 employees, providing business and technology shared service business support across multiple U.S. locations therefore talent development and the vision for capitalizing upon an emerging and evolving workforce is essential. The role reports to the Senior Vice President of Business Insurance Operations.


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities include playing a key executive leadership role as a strategic business partner and primary liaison with Business Insurance and Enterprise stakeholders, Technology and Operational Effectiveness leaders and Enterprise teams. A focus on the evolving Product Strategy and Underwriting Process and workflows to ensure Operational readiness and effectiveness will be critical. This role is also responsible for a relentless focus on Customer in all we do, innovating shared Operational capabilities across BI Operations, directing process innovation, driving operational effectiveness, enabling change adoption and ensuring alignment to overall Business Insurance and Enterprise Operations strategy, key investments.

Responsibilities also include aligning business performance toward identified and new investments and portfolios, as well as identifying opportunities to improve business results, maximize financial benefit of identified and new investments, increase organizational capacity, improve accuracy and timeliness, change behaviors, redesign roles and functions, and improve operational controls. This role also provides expert level business, product and technical consulting, generating new ideas, influencing senior management of their value, and assist in their implementation to achieve recommended benefits.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of work experience in operations required. Minimum of 5 years in management role required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree preferred. 10 or more years of work experience in operations preferred. 6 or more years in management role preferred. Management of sizeable processing organization. Property Casualty knowledge. Re-engineering process background. Consolidation of operations experience. Cost control experience. Systems background.
