Liberty Mutual Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Technology is actively searching for a Scrum Master II, Integration Management Office (IMO). This role is responsible for the Acquisition Integration Program Management Office with broad responsibilities for Ironshore integration across all domains and delivering business value from integrating Ironshore into Liberty Mutual. GRS Technology provides support and operations for all global specialty lines including North American Specialty (NAS), National Insurance (NI), Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), and Liberty Mutual Surety (LMS) across 19 countries, through one unified IT team.

 

Job Summary    

 

A Team Leader/Manager focused on all aspects of the acquisition - integration, infrastructure and support services migration, planning and execution through extended teams, user training and support, change management and alignment with tactical and strategic business goals.  Drives and implements change and continuous improvement. Maintains breadth and depth of perspective, utilizing enterprise and industry/market trends.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generally leads a small team assigned to Ironshore Integration activities; Manage individual contributors; coaches and counsels team members consistent with the needs of the department; Mentors and guides junior team members
  • Lead daily meetings, reviews, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement.  Manages interdependencies between cross functional teams.
  • Works with the Product Owners and various IT groups to support short and long-term planning and execution, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution. 
  • Creates and maintains detailed project plans for assigned work

  • Participates and provides updates at Senior IT and Business Stakeholder meetings

  • Coordinates and manages integration and migration related activities including implementation, training, monitor effectiveness and user feedback

  • Implements and communicates assigned work status, timelines, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Drives and implements change and continuous improvement
  • Triage, track and report on user issues
  • Actively participates in internal project and stakeholder meetings

  • Creates system, technical and product standards and procedures
  • Documents and communicates complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences
  • Consults on complex technical issues
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested

  • Works independently in a matrix organization

  • Understands business process, issues/problems and applies appropriate IT standards and solutions

  • Ensures system, technical and product architectures are aligned with business objectives

  • Think outside the box and come up with improvement and efficiency opportunities to streamline integration efforts

  • Willingness to travel to Liberty Mutual and Ironshore offices as necessary

Desired skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 5 years related experience as a project team member and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Agile methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Team Lead or management experience is strongly preferred

  • General knowledge of architectures and technical standards. Requires extensive knowledge in the following areas: IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies, , technology migrations and integration, extensive knowledge of a business function (s) and business operations.

  • Requires strong facilitation, consensus building skills, presentation and communication skills.

  • Be resourceful, open-minded, and analytical and enjoy solving complicated problems, focused on execution and attention to detail.

  • Experience working with

    • Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Jira) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Test Engineers)

    • IT Infrastructure, Networks, Data Center, Helpdesk, ITSM, MS Office Products, Mobile, Voicemail, and Skype for Business
    • Exchange Online, Network Security, Application Security, AD Trust
    • Citrix, End User Support, Desktop/Laptop Support, Application Packaging and Deployment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of M&A related technology strategy and operational aspects, preferably in large company setting and in financial services.
