Our team has successfully executed rapid expansion into rideshare and vehicle-share companies, and we are developing insurance and technology solutions for new customers across auto, home / office, and gig-service models.

Our Business Insurance division is looking for an UW Manager to leverage unique insurance solutions to cover such risks.
As a member of our Shared Economy Team, you will be involved in building and managing a portfolio of Shared Economy risks. You will be a subject matter expert for complex issues that require highly innovative and creative solutions to the standard Commercial Insurance program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Provides direction and guidance for multiple impact groups

Impact teams, department and aspects of functional and business results by leading complex/critical program execution across broad areas of responsibility

Independently determines approach to managing projects, team leads and other areas of responsibility within Allstate Business Insurance

Formulates strategic initiatives that drive improved efficiencies and results within department and ABI areas of responsibility

Leverages quantitative, qualitative, trend analysis and diversity of opinion to draw conclusions and drive business results

Directs ongoing measurement and analysis of results

Build cross-functional relationships, clearly articulates point-of-view, taking into account the perspectives of all related parties

Provide workflow oversight in order to deliver on time standards for all customers points, determining accurate staffing levels through work flow/work load analysis, controlling costs through proper utilization of staffing

Researches, develops and revises policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

Analyzes quality and quantity of accounts underwritten and prepares reports accordingly

Develops and maintains a profitable book of business by formulating, implementing and measuring results of corrective action plans

Supports all areas of responsibility building a broad range of partnerships within Allstate to accomplish goals

Facilitate communication across organizational boundaries to surface and resolve issues proactively

Formulate strategic plans, developing new methods and procedures to improve direct reports, team leads, and multiple impact group results

Responsible for day-to-day operations of assigned team(s) within ABI Underwriting

Job Qualifications

Experience
8+ years underwriting experience
5 years management experience preferred
CPCU or CIC preferred
Experience in large accounts, manuscripting policies, with knowledge of state deregulation statutes preferred. This can include crafting retrospectives and compositely rated accounts

Advanced Working Knowledge
Specific company products and services
Insurance industry rules, regulations, insurance products, system operation, and inventory control
Company operations, policies, procedures, objectives, and performance
Management reports
Workflow management techniques
