Job Description
The VP Sales will lead sales efforts for a designated portion of the US in order to grow market share in the Insurance Segment. The leader of this team must be able to effectively manage a diverse team of 6-10 Sales Executives who are charged with selling all of the products in the York suite of offerings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the successful achievement of the companys sales goals
Oversee companys sales performance at both regional and individual levels
Develop effective sales strategy and ensure timely implementation
Schedule regular meetings with Sales Executives to review performance and discuss progress toward annual goals
Know and teach The York Way of Selling
Utilize SalesForce to its full extent and ensure that assigned Sales Executives do the same
Keep current with changing trends and competitive intelligence
Regularly meet with SVP and report on overall sales activity and progress toward annual goals
Establish personal networks across the country
Recruit and train Sales Executives
Participate in market strategy building by providing useful information from sales activities

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
Strong IT skills; ability to use business-related applications

Qualifications and Experience
10+ years of experience in sales with a minimum of 5 years in a sales management role or as senior account executive; prior experience preferred in Insurance/Risk/TPA sales and/or marketing
Must demonstrate prior experience and excellent knowledge in sales presentations, pricing models, customer buying patterns, budgeting, planning, competitive strategies, sales business processes and marketing
Solid computer skills including proficiency with Salesforce and demonstrated knowledge of Google Suite preferred
Energetic, results focused, and a catalyst for change
Must have an ability to work with Sales Executives on strategic positioning and selling, uncover business opportunities/problems, and recommend solutions to result in organic growth
Must demonstrate strong planning, time management, and leadership skills with the ability to excel in a team environment
