Job Summary
The Internet Marketing Technology (IMT) department partners with Marketing/eBusiness and other departments to deliver innovative technology solutions focused on marketing programs and marketing tools. Additionally, IMT provides consulting expertise to guide overall prioritization and drive scheduling of marketing technology initiatives and maintains the overall project portfolio and content elements for Allstate.com applications, the only consumer facing applications at Allstate.
As a Web Application Developer in the Allstate.com Web Development Team you will be helping us develop re-usable components that will be used by our Marketing Partners leveraging best practices from the industry and our vendors. You will be responsible for keeping our site responsive, error free, available, and secure. We are looking for someone with strong Front End development skills.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET
Prepare and maintain code for various .Net applications and resolve any defects in system
Prepare test based applications for various .Net applications
Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
Manage defect tracking system and resolve all issues and prepare update for systems
Job Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent with programming experience
6 years of design and/or development experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Windows Forms and SQL Server in an n-tier architecture. .NET Core a plus
Strong background in object oriented development techniques
Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices, e.g. SOA
Database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
Experience with Web Services, WCF and Service Oriented Architecture
Understanding Security, Availability, and Performance Tuning best practices
Experience with concurrent development source control (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins or Bamboo)
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
Passion for technology and knowledge
