AmTrusts Global Underwriting Audit Group provides independent and objective assurance, advice, and insight guided by a philosophy of adding value to improve the operations. The Global Audit Group assists in bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the core underwriting environment including risk management, operational, financial, internal control, and governance processes.

We are looking for candidates who have an exceptional ability to analyze large quantities of information and present the outcome in a meaningful way to our senior management. This position will initially focus on standard retail and specialty P&C business segments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, capability transfer, and end-user training.
  • Oversee, prioritize, and deploy audit team resources in support of key corporate priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise-wide authority levels and guidelines.
  • Identify and analyze the inherent risks in commercial and property casualty functions, processes and products and the controls that management has implemented to mitigate their risks.
  • Review portfolio to ensure governance risks are being managed and appropriate controls are in place.
  • Assist in the development of individual audits to ensure that the audit outcome/recommendations to stakeholders focus on key risks and controls.
  • Identify and recommend changes to processes that improve service to internal and external customers.
  • Determine whether information collected and reported is acceptable.
  • Participate in the development and execution of a risk based audit plan and monitor the full audit lifecycle (planning, review, testing of controls, and verification) for individual audit engagements
  • Collaborate across different global functional audit teams to provide for an integrated and coordinated approach to insurance risks.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness and value of Global Audit Group by recommending and developing innovative approaches and solutions (e.g., the use of data analytics, automation, audit methodology, etc)
  • Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand and ensure adoption.
  • Advance the organizations awareness of ongoing change efforts and report out on change success metrics
  • Provide direct support and coaching to leaders and executives on enterprise initiatives.
  • Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand and ensure adoption of process improvements.
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with staff, policyholders, agency partners, and vendors.
  • Good at cultivating relationships with stakeholders and within the Global Audit Group, building trust that facilitates an open mindset and free exchange of information
  • Function independently and multi-task in a dynamic, changing environment
Qualifications

  • Broad Commercial Lines insurance work experience (10-15 years).
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • A certified professional designation (e.g. CPCU, AAI, CIC, ARM) is preferred
  • Solid understanding of commercial lines rating methodology, products and coverage
