We are currently seeking a Special Investigations Unit Investigator to be responsible for analyzing and investigating suspicious claims of a complex nature in a multi-line environment; which include all commercial lines. Lines of business will include auto physical damage, first and third party casualty claims and property losses and Workers Compensation. The SIU Investigator will be responsible for reviewing SIU referrals for content and establishing an appropriate investigative plan of action. Work will consist of conducting desk investigations, preparing investigative work plans, gathering evidence, taking recorded statements, writing reports and occasionally conducting field investigations, while working with outside experts. The SIU Investigator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with public officials, law enforcement officer and others to obtain assistance in conducting investigations. The selected candidate will work from the Jackson, Mississippi office.

Education & Qualifications
  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent
  • Five years of directly related investigative or surveillance experience in the investigation of insurance fraud as a SIU investigator.
  • Must be familiar with Commercial lines Insurance and use of enterprise wide claim management system (Guidewire Claims preferred);
  • Must be familiar with SIU compliance rules, regulations for assigned region.
  • Must be able to utilize data analytics to examine claim and perform useful investigation gained from analytics.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use public record information systems and claim history databases to support investigative processes.
  • Familiar with an array of background products; (i.e., Clear; Accurint; ISO Claims Search; i-Sight, etc.)
  • Ability to source appropriate information from digital / social platforms;
  • Proficiency in establishing, documenting and independently pursuing appropriate investigative strategies in al P&C commercial coverage lines.
  • Ability to develop and present fraud related training programs and deliver internally and externally.
  • Ability to evaluate claim information and other data sources for fraud indicators and analyze the data to detect fraud trends.
  • Solid working knowledge of criminal and civil laws pertaining to insurance fraud
  • Solid working knowledge of workers' compensation law, NCCI rules and regulations; premium audit practices.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
