DevOps Engineer - Test Automation

The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking an experience Test Automation Engineer that can provide Team Members knowledge and leadership regarding software quality processes and test automation.

 

Requirements:

 

  • 5 years performance automation experience with Performance Center is required.
  • Preferred experience in developing VuGen tests, executing tests, analyzing results for performance bottlenecks and reporting results.
  • Scripting using different protocols is desired - WEB/HTTP and WebServices is required. Experience with JMeter, NeoLoad or StormRunner tools is a plus.
  • 3 years hands on experience working in a fully Agile environment (such as SCRUM - preferably in a cross functional capacity), documenting test results, and escalating problems.
  • 3-5 years Development experience (Mainframe - COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL OR .Net - VB, ASP OR Java) is required with a core understanding and practical application of Unit Testing and TDD on respective systems is required.
  • 1-2 years relational database experience (Oracle, SQL, DB2), webservice development and/or testing, and code scanning tools.
  • Understanding of key networking concepts, and infrastructure concepts is required.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and approaches for test automation and support.
  • An understanding of Containerization and Service Virtualization is desired.
  • Performs with the team to provide coaching, guidance and mentoring for all levels of quality, ensuring team organizational standards and end user needs are met.
  • Works with the Quality Assurance community of practice to improve the organization's testing and product delivery capability.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years' experience in software quality management specifically in Performance Testing.
  • 3 years actual hands-on experience working in a fully functional Agile software development team in a quality management capacity.
  • Diligent at applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Require a clear understanding of continuous integration, continuous test and continuous delivery/deployment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile approaches (XP, Kanban, FDD, TDD), and methodologies, as well as understanding of scaled agile (SAFe, LeSS, DaD) is a plus.
