Job Description
The eDiscovery Associate III is the entry-level job into the Law & Regulation in-house eDiscovery Team that provides discovery support to the Litigation unit. This role will support the eDiscovery Team and be responsible for coordinating work activities and internal processes, as well as the execution of day-to-day eDiscovery tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of administrative and support tasks during the discovery process in Litigation
- Maintain team schedules, charts, plans and templates
- Prepare and submit work requests to in-house data collections and processing teams
- Monitor data daily, cross-referencing it, submitting requests relating to same in a timely manner, and updating tracking information on same
- Listen and ask questions to solicit feedback, to understand needs and to learn the processes in eDiscovery in order to begin an eDiscovery career path
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, quality and service of ongoing work
- Apply communication skills to provide service, coordinate information and collaborate with others
- Anticipate future needs based on past transactions
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Entry-level position
Functional Skills
- Highly developed critical thinking skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Interest in learning the eDiscovery process
- Ability to quickly learn and retain new processes and technologies
- Above average Excel skills and basic skills in other MSOffice applications
- Basic understanding of databases, networking, and systems concepts
- Proven self-starter combined with experience with working in a team environment
- Nimble, able to manage multiple competing priorities, and adapt well to changes in priorities
- Proactive communicator, ensures status updates, results reporting and other communications are created and transmitted in a timely manner
- Comfortable asking questions when unsure of a process or workflow, and likewise comfortable sharing suggestions directed towards improving existing processes and/or workflows.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
