Job Description
The Junior Product Owner - Salesforce will work as part of the Allstate Independent Agency (AIA) Salesforce team supporting various processes that drive production through the AIA agency sales channel. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with Sales and Home Office stakeholders and product owners to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the "go to" for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, and more. Additionally, the Junior Product Owner - Salesforce will perform basic updates, such as add/delete users, and adding basic custom fields.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
Communication, User Assistance, Case Management, Testing, Training, Adoption/satisfaction -
- Communicate regularly with the salesforce product owner, IT Partners, developers and other stakeholders
- Manage salesforce cases on daily bases in a timely manner
Create and Manage Changes to the System -
- Proactively seek out and identify needed system changes including new releases of SFDC and efficiently roll out new features. Manage system changes without interruption to the user and Communicate system changes to the users
- Proactively gather feedback and requirements from users; Continually seek ways to further enhance the end-user experience and make sure functionalities meet the field needs
- Create and maintain fields, custom objects, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns and other Salesforce objects and functions. Maintain, enhance and create workflows, functions and configurations within the Salesforce environments.
Maintain System, Security and Data Integrity -
- Manage salesforce.com hierarchy, profile, user, license and permission set in response to personnel changes.
- Reassign Accounts, Contacts, and other items in response to personnel changes.
- Maintain security including sharing rules and security levels.
- Monitor application storage usage and archive data as needed.
- Ensure data integrity by merging duplicate Contacts, and Accounts; performing mass uploads and updates of data as required; Removing unnecessary fields and data; ensuring screens, fields and workflow have accurate names and reflect current workflow
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
A system administrator needs a solid understanding of the organizations business. They must have solid Salesforce skills and ideally, understand the general concepts of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Most importantly they should be proactive, organized and logical. They must self-motivated and are able to apply good judgement and decision-making skills.
This position is located in Charlotte, NC.
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on Salesforce administration experience
- Salesforce Certified Administrator required
- Experience with Agile development process is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities through the use of custom code (Apex, s-controls) and/or integration with external systems
- Strong reporting background using standard reporting tools including standard Salesforce reporting functionality
- Previous re-engineering experience updating an existing Salesforce configuration to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions
- Detail oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Proven ability to utilize Salesforce as a sales analysis tool
- Minimum expectation of a College degree
- Team player with positive Can-do attitude
- Great communication skills with enthusiastic personality
- Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong problem solving skills, data and software applications
