Advance your career at Liberty Mutual Insurance- A Fortune 100 Company! Team SummaryThis leadership role provides marketing strategy and project management to grow and differentiate North America Specialty's commercial and specialty lines in the U.S.  Join a centralized marketing team that is aligned to different segments of the commercial and specialty insurance market while partnering with marketing experts in research, creative, advertising, web, PR, and events.  This person must have excellent project management, strategic thinking and communication skills.    Job SummaryDirectly responsible for developing marketing strategies and messages to support differentiation and growth for assigned segment. Works closely with business and marketing leadership and is the primary point of contact and marketing leader for the assigned segment(s). This includes broad based market visibility as well as product launches and other strategic projects. Creates, oversees and directly manages the execution of detailed marketing plans. Closely monitors success of marketing activities and makes suggestions for improvement. Assist Marketing Segment Leader in development and implantation of Marketing strategy.
  • Provides marketing leadership and is primary point of contact to assigned segment(s)
  • Drives flow and favorably predisposes brokers and risk managers to working with Ironshore and Liberty
  • Is extremely knowledgeable about segment's markets, products and services, broker and risk manager needs, competitors and business opportunities and uses those insights to drive marketing activities, consistent articulation of points of differentiation and business success
  • Proactively partners with segment leadership, Distribution, GRS strategy team other marketing leadership to develop and execute integrated marketing plans and messages that align to and enable business priorities
  • Reaches out across distribution, underwriting, claims and risk control to pull together compelling messages and proof points for marketing activities
  • Understands segment audience(s), contact lists, business results, and engagement with marketing and uses that knowledge to continuously evolve messages, identify opportunities and proactively make recommendations
  • Actively gains NI and Distribution field feedback on current and proposed marketing messages and activities and uses those insights to enable distribution and underwriting success and evolve marketing impact
  • Develops marketing materials and tools (brochures, web content, social media, internal promotion, external emails, PR, events, etc.) and ensures messages and visibility are coordinated, consistent and differentiated
  • Works with NAS outside marketing vendors, shared services resources, and corporate marketing resources, as needed, to get develop materials and tools completed
  • Role requires the ability to write core messages and materials that tell a simple, compelling and holistic story for brokers and risk managers
  • Works with training and internal communications teams to effectively launch marketing messages resources
  • Role responsible for overseeing brand consistency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications preferred) or equivalent experience required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience within a marketing-driven organization.
  • Understanding of customer segmentation and management techniques, as well as the business and products supported and the regulations impacting them.
  • Requires advanced working knowledge of all marketing areas and the ability to integrate them.
  • Strong analytical, collaboration, organization, interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities required.
  • Strong detail orientation.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Prior advertising agency experience preferred.
