Advance your career at Liberty Mutual Insurance- A Fortune 100 Company!Plans, develops and manages internal communications programs for Liberty Mutual's U.S. Claims organization - ensuring the delivery of consistent messages to various segments of the employee audience and encouraging audience behavior beneficial to the company's success. Leads a team of ~five direct reports and consults and partners directly with the Claims executive leadership team.  Responsibilities 
  • Works with SBU or large business functions and Corporate departments to identify business/communication objectives and translate into internal communications plans. Determines and implements the most effective, efficient, and impactful methods and channels to achieve communication objectives.
  • Ability to evaluate specific programs and their appropriate success metrics and report monthly on effectiveness of internal communications programs, including listening to employee feedback on internal communications and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Leads a team of communication professionals to develop and implement strategic internal communications.
  • In support of client goals, analyzes and improves existing or develops new internal channels for communications such as newsletters, IT collaboration tools (Jive/Connect), meeting networks, videos, etc.
  • Manages and performs advanced writing assignments such as speeches, articles, announcements and scripts for senior management.
  • Works with other Communications functions in the business units and Corporate to define and manage appropriate processes to ensure smooth, consistent and successful workflow within department.
  • Builds strong relationships with management and key stakeholders in order to understand their business functions and write appropriate strategies for their internal communication needs.
  • Leads the creation of significant business documents for various presentations and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in in Communications or related field) or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred plus 10+ years of relevant and progressively more responsible communications experience, to include internal communications work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project planning skills with a proven track record of integrated implementation.
  • Precision time management.
  • Requires the combination of strategic planning, internal communications skills, knowledge of various communications vehicles and IT familiarity to develop and execute a comprehensive plan to strengthen Liberty's communication with all employees.
  • Ability to evaluate specific programs and their success metrics
