Job Description
As a Sales Specialist you will be licensed and trained to effectively sell insurance products. You will be on the front line of Allstate's sales process and critical to helping our Customer Contact Center in Charlotte, NC achieve its customer satisfaction and business performance goals. You will field a high volume of inbound calls from potential customers generated by Allstate's aggressive marketing campaigns. Work/Training Schedule:
- Start Date: Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 10:00 AM
- Licensing Schedule: (Initial 2 Weeks): Monday-Friday 10:00 AM-6:30 PM
- Training Schedule: (5 Weeks): Monday-Friday 10:00 AM-6:30 PM in classroom
- Transition and Permanent Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3:30 PM-12:00 AM, Saturday 10 AM-6:30 PM (Off Sunday and Tuesday)

Compensation and other important information:

Base Salary: $33,280.00 annually (paid bi-weekly) this will include 10% for 2nd shift differential to total $36,608.00 (After training period)
- Spanish Bi-Lingual: Includes an additional 10% pay differential
- $1000 bonus paid after 6 months of employment if hired with an active General Lines Property & Casualty License (License Bonus does not apply to Allstate re-hires)
- $500 language bonus paid after 6 months of employment to new hires that pass the Spanish Language assessment.

It is Allstate's goal to support our customers how, when and where they want to be served. The Customer Contact Center will provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As a result, it is critical that all our team members can commit to a flexible work schedule that includes some weekends and holidays. Most call center employees work one weekend day, typically a Saturday, as a part of their normal work week. We do our best to provide a balance between work and personal life, and we will provide advanced notice of any changes in your work hours.
Working environment:
Please note that, as a Sales Specialist, you will be required to handle phone inquiries for your entire shift and to be stationed at your desk for the majority of the day.
Job Qualifications
- This Position requires General Lines Property and Casualty (P&C) licensing/Allstate appointment. Must be completed immediately upon hire (Training Provided).
- Additional background screening to include fingerprinting is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires Flexibility, Adaptability and Must Be Team and Results Oriented
- A minimum of one year of customer service experience (sales call center or insurance industry experience a plus)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent computer skills, including typing proficiency, multi-tasking between online applications, working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, folders)
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors Degree a plus)
