Job Summary
The Director of Information Delivery position will drive the architecture design with business intelligence peers to deliver solutions from Data Discovery to Business Intelligence application development. This is a leadership role within the organization which may lead other developers in our data architecture practice.


Marketing Description

This position is responsible for leading design and development activities related to data and information delivery solutions for Personal Insurance. This role provides leadership for other business intelligence developers and architects, mentors junior staff, and assists with training sessions as well. One of the main responsibilities include engaging with business and technical partners to design the appropriate end-to-end business intelligence delivery system to strategically enable us to empower our analytic partners and drive self-service across Personal Insurance. This role will also be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining key business intelligence assets. This role will do SQL Development as well as data architecture.



Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Develop analytic and reporting solutions aligned to defined business requirements. Lead solution design within assigned tasks and validates that developed solutions align with defined business requirements. Lead prototyping and validate prototypes before production build. Manages the production process and support for Information Delivery assets Assists in the development of the strategic plan for Information Delivery including identification appropriate infrastructures, tools and performance requirements. Develop an understanding of all data contained within multiple data marts and source systems Translate business requirements into technical requirements for enhancements and new custom reports Utilize a rapid prototyping methodology to perform ad-hoc analysis to find solutions to business inquiries Perform regular data analysis monitoring to provide prescriptive recommendations based on data Develop knowledge of Business Intelligence products and tools Develop and own project timelines and plans for assigned projects Provides guidance to less experienced peers. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or other quantitative degrees. 7 years experience in data and analytics experience required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or other quantitative degrees. 10 years of general business experience. 8 years experience working with MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel 8 years experience coding SQL Experience with modern data visualization tools. These may include, but are not limited to Qlik, MicroStrategy, Power BI and Tableau Experience with industry standard statistical programming languages. These may include, but are not limited to R, Python or SAS. Understanding of database structures Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with others Must be a team player and able to effectively work with team members located in different locations Demonstrate an ability to tell a story using data Problem solving and issue resolution skills necessary Demonstrates the ability to operate independently to design, develop, and prepare reports Demonstrated experience leading multi-function teams

Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies
Core Technical Competencies: MS Office especially Excel with VBA, SQL Server, Qlik, Cognos, TM1, Data Knowledge: Data Acquisition, Preparation and Exploration Experience working with industry standard data platforms. These may include, but are not limited to Teradata, SQL, Big Data, NoSQL, etc., Development techniques (Visualizations, Geospatial, etc.), Web Development approach and skills in support of Modern Business Intelligence platforms, Intermediate analytics and diagnostic skills, Intermediate project management skills. Lead Solution Design and Development: Demonstrated ability to see results to completion. Demonstrate ability to think strategically. Intermediate problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to think strategically. Responsible for having broad knowledge of Business Intelligence products and tools and being able to effectively utilize those products and tools. Listening/Influencing: Intermediate interpersonal, communications and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to influence others. Ability to interact effectively with other functions.
