Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced developer with proven ability to learn quickly and deliver efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a talented and driven Development Center of Excellence team.
Primary responsibilities are development and support in a variety of technologies using Agile practices. Our team supports all application development teams, Quality Assurance Center of Excellence, architecture and the Emerging Tech Team by providing guidelines, best practices and support modernization initiatives. This job involves the ability to generate POCs and guidelines and support the community with their dev needs.

The right candidate should:
  • Under general supervision, provides intermediate programming, configuring and/or analysis skills for specific system assignments
  • Independently manage interaction between other system teams, vendor teams, and technical support areas as required
  • For observed system issues troubleshoot, conduct impact analysis, define solution options and escalate appropriately. When required defines technical requirements and has ability to coordinate available resources to solve problems
  • Be familiar in trending software and design practices
  • Be willing to communicate well with the development community


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Builds effective relationships with stakeholders - both technical and business. Utilizes business knowledge to explain technical activities in business terms
  • Seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities as needed. The ideal candidate should be proficient in .NET and JS based Technologies (Angular) and work with other technologies
  • Performs basic Kanban/Lean Planning activities and adheres to the best practices of this delivery practice
  • Works alongside GSO partners as required, and provides technical guidance to less experienced employees
  • Ensures work complies with department's standards, processes, and protocols. Applies knowledge of current industry trends and techniques with a focus on Lean software delivery
  • Supports community forums to enable sharing of technical topics across teams
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 3 years of programming/development experience required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 5 years of programming/development experience preferred.

Able to coordinate with other technical areas to achieve project/department or division goals. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Able to recognize, analyze, and diagnose business and technical problems, incidents, and defects of advanced complexity. Able to creatively evaluate alternative solutions Able to reuse previously completed processes. Demonstrates the ability to make routine decisions independently and recognizes when escalation is necessary. Team Orientation: Ability to build and foster relationships with team, business, and technical partners to achieve objectives. Practices objectivity and openness to others' views. Able to recognize and support team priorities. Leadership: Exhibits team leadership and collaborates with partners. Planning (Project Management): Able to manage time and competing priorities and provide management with accurate and timely status information. Able to accurately evaluate and estimate tasks. Financial Awareness: Able to understand how the project schedule relates to budget.

Environmental/Work Schedules/Other
Requires weekend work hours. Requires overnight work hours. Requires holiday work hours (Federal and religious). Requires extended periods (1 or more weeks) of travel as needed. Requires travel up to 5% of time.

Preferred Qualifications
Programming/analysis experience in C# (or other OOP language) along with web development technologies such as Angular


Physical Requirements
Operates standard office equipment. Requires extended periods of computer use. Requires extended periods of sitting.

Licensing or Certificates
Depends on the specific role but some examples may include: ITIL Remedy Java certification Microsoft certification.net Kanban/Agile/SAFe
