Material Damage Team Leader

Job Summary

The Material Damage Team Leader is an entry level leadership position that will manage 2-4 material damage desk appraisers while completing an average of 5 estimates/supplements daily.  In this role you will ensure quality and adherence to company guidelines through regular auditing and coaching. 

Job Responsibilities

• Manage group of 2-4 material damage desk appraisers.
• Complete an average of 5 estimates/supplements daily.
• Conduct monthly audits with senior leadership to ensure quality and adherence to company guidelines as well as any applicable state and federal laws.
• Assist senior management in development of process and training to improve overall quality and key metric results.
• Provide authority as warranted on liability claims.
• Ensure adherence to company reserving practices.
• Effectively and efficiently manage allocated loss adjustment expenses.
• Effectively utilize reward system to distinguish top performers and significant achievements.
• Work with senior management where warranted on the execution of performance management.

Job Qualifications

Formal Education & Certification

Undergraduate College Degree or equivalent experience. Florida or Georgia All-Line Adjuster License required. 

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of material damage appraiser experience.
• Prior ICAR or ASE certification a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced automated production environment
• Excellent PC skills are required.
• Must have the ability to make autonomous decisions based on multiple facts.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels within the organization.
