Job Details
The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be responsible for analyzing, preparing and providing insightful explanations with regards to quarter-end earnings, forecast and plan deliverables. This role will support FP&A management and external reporting for the segment and enterprise leadership teams.
- Analyze, identify and communicate key revenue and metric variance drivers at the segment, global line of business and business unit levels
- Provide critical financial support to FP&A/Finance management, including quarter-end earnings, forecast, plan, segment President, enterprise COO, enterprise CFO and Board of Directors presentations
- Support investor relations requests for the Lifestyle segment, including reviewing the quarterly earnings release, earnings script and Q&A preparation document
- Manage the Lifestyle segment by identifying and explaining trends and variance drivers, key performance indicators, and risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to key members of leadership
- Responsibilities involve working closely with the FP&A and business finance teams to enhance processes and reporting, recommend and implement procedures to resolve data quality issues and ensure consistency between multiple areas and reporting systems
- Solid knowledge of financial statement consolidations, internal controls and reviews, financial standards, audits, US GAAP (including revenue recognition principles) & local GAAP reconciliation and financial variance analysis
- Finance liaison with Accounting to provide business and plan/forecast support, as well as ensure consistency between actuals and plan/forecast
- Ability to multi-task, results driven, team player, can work under tight deadlines and ability to communicate with all levels of financial and operational personnel
- B.A. or B.S. in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years in Finance, with analysis experience
Other requirements
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections using an advanced level of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Requires advanced ability to build financial reports, quickly manipulate data and conduct financial analysis under tight timelines
- Thorough understanding of business issues and concepts related to mobile industry, insurance/warranty and financial services
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal teams, at multiple levels, settings, and time zones
- Work requires strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate among peers as well as upper management
- A leader and team player that can work in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Critical and innovative thinking, judgment and decision-making skills
- Occasionally will have to work extended hours, weekends, and be available for business travel (if needed)
