Job Details

Job Summary The Compliance Specialist: Accurately maintains the agency management system ensuring statutory compliance; Logs and monitors all complaints from inception to closure; Compiles daily balancing reports and initiates corrective action; Maintains licensing documentation for internal agency licenses.

 

 

 

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Process and renew external agent appointments for various business units.
  • Maintain agent information in systems.
  • Maintain agency contract files.
  • Edit agency files monthly for active license and current E & O.  Determine the need for non-resident licenses and appointments.
  • Report all biographical changes for internal corporate agency licenses to state agencies and insurance departments.
  • Distribute corporate complaints; track their timely completion and maintain official complaint log.
  • Review complaint responses and alert Director to patterns of non-compliance.
  • Run daily balancing queries; report errors and track corrections.
  • Answer inquiries from the USDOT/FMCSA website.
  • Accurately report Surplus Lines Annual Report information for internal agency licenses.

    Education and/or Experience

    Associates Degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge/Skills

  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve, working closely with others to coordinate and complete projects.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory statutes and regulations.

    Computer Skills

    Advanced Microsoft Office skills are required with emphasis on Excel.
