Claims Adjuster - Property

This is a great opportunity to build and grow your skills with a relationship-based company that has a great culture and collaborative work environment.  As a Property Claims Adjuster working from the home office, you will be responsible for the prompt investigation, equitable settlement and cost-effective payment of claims.

What you will do….

• Review claims against applicable policy coverage to determine validity
• Assign inspections to independent adjuster to assess and verify degree of damage
• Obtain relevant reports from police, fire department and medical provider
• Review statements and related reports and analyze repair estimates
• Negotiate and authorize payments within authority level and establish reserves as needed
• Assist policyholder by coordinating repairs through direct providers if necessary
• Process regulatory filings, dispose of salvage and pursue subrogation as needed
• Review claims data to identify opportunities to reduce overall costs
• Maintain a positive working relationship with policyholders, agents, contractors and attorneys

The qualifications you need include….

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience
• 3-5 years of claims experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage workload independently and effectively
• A confident decision maker with negotiation skills
• Good judgement, a great work ethic and highly self-motivated
