Primary Purpose:

Optimize the delivery of valid, relevant data for key stakeholders by reviewing requests, tracking team deliverables and sharing expertise to ensure team builds usable reports for departmental needs and business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Execute delivery of valid data in support of RFPs, ISO Audits, & operational review by reviewing complex requests, identifying correct data sources, designing report specifications and researching, gathering and organizing data to build and deliver usable reports for key stakeholders
  • Assist with defining and implementing KPIs needed to monitor line of business performance to directly contribute to the resolution of system issues, identify process improvement opportunities, and support SLA adherence
  • Define and build forecasting models for the purpose of managing appropriate staffing and meeting 3rd party agreements
  • Provide Cost Benefit Analysis in support of strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders by communicating and sharing information to gather and document ad-hoc data needs, support the completion of special projects, foster transfer of information and ensure delivery of accurate and complete reports
  • Facilitate operational excellence by researching existing documentation and reports to locate and capitalize on reusable data and promote streamlined, efficient data delivery
  • Support less experienced Data and Reporting Analysts by building scheduled report structure, guiding implementation of required changes and sharing knowledge of best practices to ensure consistent report development and modification processes

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Degree in business, insurance or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Systems/technical expertise and/or insurance industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
  • Advanced knowledge of internal systems, databases and technology utilized in area of responsibility
  • Specialized knowledge of assigned line of business
  • Advanced knowledge of data manipulation techniques
  • Assume a methodical approach to evaluate situations
  • Understand the needs and goals of a customer and actively look for ways to meet them
  • Create and maintain current, accurate and readily accessible data in various formats
  • Utilize effective research and investigative techniques
  • Willingness to help and/or assist others
  • Ability to analyze and combine data from multiple systems
  • Collaborate and communicate with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goal
  • Ability to prioritize work and adhere to timelines for assigned projects
