Job Description
Product owner/Information Analyst works with the product manager, establishes and maintains overall product vision. Serves as the voice of the customer, driving user stories and product enhancements. Works with the team to develop and refine requirements, user stories, new product features, retrospectives, estimations. Owns and manages the product backlog, prioritizing stories according to changing business needs. Consult with key stakeholders to maintain and socialize the product roadmap. Monitors product KPIs.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritizes and manages product backlog.
- Writes requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Reviews and provides product owner sign off for scrum stories.
- Attend and actively participate in scrum meetings such as sprint planning, standup, demos, and retrospectives.
- Monitors and understands product KPIs.
- Completes business scope and requirements documents.
- Interacts and collaborates with key stake holders.
- Acts as escalation point for business issues that require product change resolution.
- Support and lead continuous improvement and continuous deployment in the agile development process.
- Works closely with product development team to review enhancement requests and convey the product vision to the team.
- Conduct demos of new and upcoming functionality.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field, or a combination of related experience and education.
- Must have a strong capability to deal with highly ambiguous problems. This is demonstrated through step-by-step and methodical approach to scoping, understanding, and exploration to the right solution(s).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Experience with prioritizing work within a software development team
- Experience working with relational databases is a must
- programming background required.
- Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, long-term vision, and executive presence
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent decision- making skills
- Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally

Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as Information Analyst or Business Analyst in a highly technical role.
- Working experience with Agile Scrum delivery methodology.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified SAFe Agilist (SA)
- Experience working with globally distributed scrum team
- Experience with Ab Initio and/or systems integration
