Assurant is currently seeking a License Data & Audit Analyst for the Miami, FL facility The Data & Audit Support Analyst is responsible for executing Licensing Solutions comprehensive program to identify and address the legal and regulatory requirements for Assurant's varied businesses including corporate compliance, business unit compliance, compliance implementation projects, and various licensing and appointment processes. The DAS Analyst ensures the creation and maintenance of the licenses and appointments of our clients to adhere with state requirements. This is achieved by performing audits, executing reviews, analyzing regulatory changes, implementing remedial actions, project management and updating the changes impacting our clients. This individual works directly with the state departments of insurance, Assurant vendors and other Assurant sites. Primary Responsibilities: Analysis & Audits:
  • The Data & Audit Support Analyst is expected to have the technical understanding to run and analyze existing reports created by the DAS Senior Analyst and Senior DAS Analyst or Technical Compliance Analyst.
  • The reports are used in a wide variety of functions including; compliance audit projects, accounting reconciliation functions, quality control methods for new and existing projects, client comparisons, and license and appointment renewal audits.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of several types of audits.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensuring Assurants continued compliance with state regulatory laws; this is achieved by analyzing state department of insurance guidelines and taking action as applicable.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining charts, and updating schedules of all documented deadlines.
Project Management
  • Creating and managing projects for the Licensing Department. These projects will include deployment of new clients, implementation of state changes and conversions, and new quality control processes.
  • Research, development, creation, documentation, quality assurance, and completion of projects.
Financial
  • Responsible for accounting and financial functions such as invoice payments, invoice reconciliation, voiding unneeded company checks, and monitoring business unit expenses.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1 year Project Management experience (can be school projects as well)
  • Advanced Excel knowledge i.e. pivot tables
  • 1 year experience performing analytical functions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two Years licensing experience
  • 1 year of financial analysis.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Four year degree from an accredited college or university highly desired
