Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Business Processing Specialist position!


This individual will responsible for efficiently performing data entry functions and ensuring that every transaction entered into the system is valid and consistent with the business processing rules and data standards. They should also have basic knowledge of all file processing while learning the details and managing the work flow to ensure turnaround times are consistently met while ensuring that the documentation is SOX/ISO compliant at all times.


Responsibilities

  • Participate in and Pass ISO, SOX and other audits,
  • Research more complex coverage verification and other more complex issues coming from the call centers and other internal or external business partners and provide timely response, ensure that team mailboxes are monitored on a regular basis and that answers are provided in a timely manner,
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred and at least one year of relevant experience
  • Strong communications skills by phone and e-mail
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and proactively recognize process improvement opportunities
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team setting with frequent interruptions
  • Must be a quick learner and be able to recognize processing errors
  • Collaborate with more senior team members or managers to resolve problems
  • Ability to multitask
  • Advanced knowledge of MS products including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
