Operating as a tech startup within a Fortune 100 company, we are leading a digital disruption that will redefine how people experience insurance.  The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will employ first-hand experience with a wide variety of enterprise computing infrastructure and private and public Cloud computing technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP). Develops and enhances complex systems and/or software from general requirements and specifications. Proficiency in cloud security engineering and development is desired. Maintaining a current understanding of the latest security threats, trends and technologies is a crucial component of the position. May mentor new developers.
About the job:

• Engineer and develop technical designs and processes and contribute to cloud security strategies and standards
• Develop and implement public cloud incident response uses cases, assess the effectiveness of existing controls
• Utilize cloud-based APIs when appropriate to write network/system level tools for securing cloud environments
• Identify and Implement new security technologies and best practices into Liberty Mutual's  cloud ecosystems
• Provides guidance and assistance to ensure IT controls are designed to mitigate intended risks and operating effectively; ensures cloud engineering best practices are followed
• Provides technical expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate information security procedures and products
• Researches and assesses new threats and security alerts, recommends and implements remedial action
• Maintains operational excellence according to specified SLA's

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
• Generally 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
• Proficient in negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
• Proficient in new and emerging technologies
• 3+ more years' experience in the Information Security and/or relevant field, with experience supporting private and public cloud deployments, clear passion for cloud Security and Cloud technologies

• Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, security architectures, and standards, technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Security Center, Microsoft E5, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Lambda
• Experience with DevOps and supporting technologies
• Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current threats to Cloud infrastructure and/or IT infrastructures at technical and managerial levels
• Experience with implementing security in a CI/CD pipeline preferred
