The Manager, Project Management Office, Global Business Services is responsible for leading and managing the Project Management Office (PMO) for Global Business Services (GBS). The PMO will focus heavily on supporting Liberty's outsourcings engagement that support key business transformation objectives / priorities and result in establishing strong strategic partner relationships by driving improved quality and timeliness of end to end execution.

 

PMO support is a critical element of complex transformation projects. The ability to support businesses to ensure cohesive project management, advisory and co-ordination during the key phases of the project will be a key component of the work. The role will require candidates to go above and beyond a typical PMO role by ensuring end to end ownership of outsourcing engagements from evaluation stage (target operating model design facilitation) to sourcing, selection, execution, transition and managing of external strategic partner relationships.

 

Ideal candidates should have: 

* Expertise in managing outsourcing engagement
* Exposure in End to End co-ordination of outsourcing related engagement
* Strong stakeholder management & cross-functional influencing skills
* Focus on stage gate completions and that timelines are being met
* Project Communication and Executive/Functional Report out

 

The ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of Liberty's culture & business operations to drive consistent expectations and the highest quality delivery standards from strategic partners to support business and functional transformation programs in an onshore/offshore environment. 

 

This role will work closely with BU Transformation offices (GRM, GRS, Corporate and Investments), Program PMOs, related Procurement Category Strategists and Outsourcing/Services Vendors.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


1. Strategy
a. Work collaboratively with GBS category strategists and Business Group partners to facilitate opportunity identification and prioritization
b. Lead/coordinate sourcing, selection, negotiations, contracting for outsourcing deals by providing key inputs from an operational and strategic perspective.
c. Build reputation as a subject matter expert on Outsourcing domain knowledge.
d. Drive early engagement and drive expanded scope of influence of Global Business Services
e. During the course of the PMO work develop relationships and work with key business partners to understand strategic direction, transformation requirements and corporate business objectives and priorities.


2. Transition & Logistics Support Advisory
a. Transition Management Support
b. Site Visits, Assessment & Readiness

 

3. Supplier Management:  Ensure co-ordination between Liberty's corporate groups and business unit operational vendor managers and the GBS partner manager to  drive a cohesive picture on strategic partner relationship health related to areas on
a. Facilities and Information Security
b. Audit/Compliance Gaps
c. Governance & Vendor management: Provide guidance on monitoring supplier performance against contractual terms and conditions, assess supplier financial health and develop risk mitigation plans for critical and preferred suppliers.
d. People management
e. Financial Management: Understanding of supplier economics, agreement on optimal relationship between Company and prospective suppliers while tracking and monitoring current:
i. FTE counts
ii. Productivity
iii. Periodic billing
f. Process Improvements and transformation work
g. Business Continuity Testing, Disaster Recovery Plan reviews

Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree with business management experience preferred
  • Strong Stakeholder management & influencing skills with change management background
  • Expertise in managing end to end co-ordination of  outsourcing engagements
  • Prior experience in drafting, reviewing and managing outsourcing contractual agreements
  • Experience in working closely with vendors, 3rd party consultant and internal stakeholders, supplier and category management programs
  • 8 plus years of previous business experience. Procurement experience as add-on preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, time management skills
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation skills with strong influencing and persuasive talents
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of initiatives. Has an aptitude for innovation, high integrity and ethics.
