As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Global Consumer Markets Accounting Operations team you will utilize and expand your finance and accounting knowledge while performing financial analysis and providing guidance and solutions on accounting issues. Supporting the Expense Accounting team, core responsibilities include actively participating and leading in the development, processing and critical analysis of financial reporting, financial plans, budgets, forecasts and prior year results in accordance with accounting principles and overseeing maintenance and controls of financial systems.  Leveraging analytical skills to identify and research issues will enable you to exercise your problems solving capabilities in an environment of continuous improvement.  Challenging work will enable you to expand your professional skill set as you provide accounting and finance support to internal and external customers and present findings/recommendations to Management.

 Responsibilities:

  • Prepares increasingly complex financial and/or operational reports/analysis factoring in historical information, current trends, regulatory environments and tax consequences into analysis as needed. Presents findings/recommendations to Management.
  • Supports moderately complex financial and operational planning, projections, and budgeting process, including data management (i.e. gathering and input of data), analysis, and reporting. Identifies, recommends and executes to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Effectively works with transactions affecting the books of the organization. Accurately documents details of accounting practices for classifying and recording financial data. Identifies key issues for resolution.
  • Follow enterprise risk management and compliance procedures. Follows risk management and quality compliance processes to include quality control compliance (i.e. OFAC, attestation). Follows safeguards to protect company assets and ensure compliance with Corporate and Company procedures.
  • Documents initial plans and estimates for projects of moderate scope. Reports dependencies, conflicts, and completion date status to project management team. Implements planned and ad-hoc communications to and from affected parties. Makes sure project problems are surfaced and reported to appropriate project personnel.
  • Identifies, develops and maintains efficient, cost effective, processes, controls and data management.
  • Effectively works with transactions affecting the books of the organization. Accurately documents details of accounting practices for classifying and recording financial data. Identifies key issues for resolution.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of basic qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques. Discusses key criteria necessary for valid financial analysis. Interprets the major types of financial statements issued by the organization.
  • May review work, serve as a technical resource, provide training and/or guidance to junior staff (Interns/co-ops, Associate Financial Analysts, Financial Analysts and/or FMPs)
  • Support the identification and analysis of transfer pricing impacts and considerations of cross-border transactions to provide insight into the formulation of transfer pricing policies and the implications on new and existing processes. This insight will provide assistance in ensuring compliance with the diverse requirements imposed under transfer pricing regimes and will support related pricing decisions.
  • Liaise with the Tax department, local finance teams, impacted functional groups and transfer pricing experts to effectively recommend/propose processes to operationalize transfer pricing policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of financial related experience is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis knowledge/skills is required.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and decision making abilities.
  • Transfer Pricing experience is preferred.

  • Ability to work with management and key stakeholders in SBU/Corporate Departments.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
