Liberty Mutual Insurance Information Technology is actively searching for an experienced Senior Software and Systems Engineer responsible for formulating & defining specifications for operating software programming applications & modifying/maintaining existing applications using engineering releases & utilities.

• Works from specifications to develop or modify moderately complex software programming applications
• Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs
• Competent to work on most phases of software systems programming applications, but requires instruction and guidance in other phases
• Contributes to estimates for project plans
• Performs related duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 3 years of experience in IT or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Requires solid communication and negotiation skills and general knowledge of business operations
• Strong vendor software configuration skills and application troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Oracle a plus
