Job description:The GRM Product Results Management team is looking for a Product Analyst that will be responsible for measuring our monthly results versus our financial plan and determining the primary drivers of trends. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for working with subject-matter experts across the business to leverage their expertise on financial metrics and KPIs for all brands/lines. In this role, you will gain regular exposure to senior management and develop a deep knowledge of the performance and strategy of our Business Lines products. This role will report to the Manager, Product Analysis within Product Economics Results Management. Responsibilities:
- Builds perspective on countrywide results among various members of the economics department, other product departments and the executive leadership team.
- As a subject matter expert of an assigned metric, completes monthly reviews and presents findings to key stakeholders and decision makers
- Provides complex analysis to help identify root causes of drivers in our monthly results and support business decisions
- Initiates and participates in creative technical development of data gathering and representation
- Queries data and builds tools to support regular analysis of primary metrics
- Effectively creates alignment with internal and cross-functional teams on the story behind our results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years, typically 4 years or more relevant work experience, preferably in insurance.
- Master's degree beneficial.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, PowerQuery).
- Must have good planning, organization, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of data sources, tools, and the business (auto and home line of business and systems used).
- Strong knowledge of insurance concepts and financial metrics
