GAINSCO Auto Insurance markets non-standard private passenger automobile products through retail agencies, in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia. GAINSCO Auto Insurance has fully integrated insurance capabilities, including marketing, underwriting, customer service and claims handling. Our operations are bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Purpose: To supervise the daily activities of the Claims Adjusters within the assigned region in order to ensure quality service, high productivity and compliance with industry guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise 4-6 Liability Adjusters
  • Oversee day-to-day processing of claims to ensure adjusters are performing based on GAINSCO Standard Operating Procedures and State regulations for prompt and accurate handling
  • Provide ongoing training by coaching, counseling, and performance management. Ensure all employees receive communication of corporate/department polices and procedures
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to adjusters and management
  • Address and resolve escalated complaints
  • Review and audit claims using a holistic approach
  • Identify and develop process improvement opportunities
  • Maintain strong awareness and involvement in recruiting needs, interview process, new hire orientation and participate in other ad-hoc activites

  • Established tenure preferred

Education: Bachelors degree or higher, State Adjusters license

Experience: Minimum of 2 years bodily injury claims adjusting in the auto insurance industry, prior leadership experience preferred, proven understanding of auto claims investigations and claims processing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Knowledge of Texas laws regulating the automobile insurance industry.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to lead, motivate and direct employees; ability to train, coach and teach others; ability to monitor and assess performance; ability to efficiently manage own time and the time of others; ability to exercise objective judgment and critical decision making; ability to use logic and reasoning to identify approaches and solutions to problems. Effective negotiating skills.

Compensation: Competitive Salary based on experience.
