Job Description

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School degree, or GED equivalent
  • One to three years general office experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
  • Minimum data input speed of 50 WPM
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Flexibility with overtime, as needed
  • Minimum of 1-2 years telephonic customer service, preferred
  • Medical terminology background/experience, preferred
  • Manage high level multiple tasks concurrently

Duties:

  • Review and research information to ensure all data elements are present prior to transmitting FROI
  • Verify BWC policy number on FROIs received from employer, provider, BWC or injured worker
  • Identify incomplete FROIs and know appropriate primary sources to call for information
  • Obtain missing data elements by making telephone contact with injured worker provider, BWC and employer (or third party administrator), or by using company databases
  • Accurately document in Conduit all factual communications and transactions to complete the FROI
  • Appropriately identify medical only and lost time FROIs
  • Achieve 82-90% accuracy for entered data elements within 90 days of hire and maintain accuracy standards thereafter
  • Ability to anticipate, recognizes and solve potential problems independently and consult appropriate resources when needed
  • Achieve average of 1-2 FROIs per hour within 90 days of hire and maintain productivity standards
  • Track/monitor incomplete FROIs in order to meet established transmission deadline
  • Answer questions and requests from managed care team
  • Collect, update and provide employer database information
  • Route employer database change forms as necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality as indicated by company and BWC policy and procedures
  • Respond effectively and proactively to organization change
