Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The AVP of Order to Cash (O2C) Shared Service will work with the Vice President Business Transformation and the O2C Finance teams to create an O2C shared services/ CoE (Center of Excellence) and drive a functional consolidation effort for the company to centralize all functions in the Order to Cash lifecycle. The leader will be responsible for design, development, strategy and management of the Shared Services /CoE to support the organization in its growth strategy. He/She will work with the Finance Leadership in developing a target operating model, business strategy and support all re-engineering, transformation, turn around and outsourcing initiatives to create a best in class O2C shared service for the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Framework design for the O2C shared service (Billing, Collections and AR)
  • Design, Execute and Manage an O2C shared service and create a CoEs in the following areas (but not limited to):
    • Client Onboarding and set up, Billing and Collections, Accounts Receivables/ Cash Application, Financial Process and Platform Design, Automation strategy
  • Drive improvement initiatives and Industry best practices in the following focus areas by creating a best in class O2C shared service CoE :
    • Consolidation, O2C Shared Services, Centers of Excellence
    • SLA and Performance Measurement / Management
    • Work force Management and optimization
    • Cost optimization and cost containment
    • Billing Process optimization and Revenue Leakage Elimination
    • Cash Flow and Working Capital Optimization
    • Analytics, Business Intelligence, Decision Support for finance and service delivery
    • Quality and Continuous Improvement Frameworks
    • Systems, ERP, Tools and Work flow Implementation/Automation
  • Lead the design and implementation of ToM (Target Operating Models) for the shared service / CoE including outsourcing in a part of the design
  • Lead the shared service / CoE to continually improve efficiency, occupancy and productivity by redesigning policies, business processes and operating models and leveraging the continuous improvement frameworks
  • Provide independent reviews of the logical integrity of financial, strategic and operational models of the O2C shared service and CoE
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of processes by keeping abreast of industry benchmarks, technology and trends in the market place
  • Attract and Retain appropriate support staff End to end talent management ownership (Hiring, Training, Retention, Employee engagement and performance management)
  • Initiate, maintain and further develop positive working relationships with colleagues, associates, clients and suppliers to ensure continued commitment and responsiveness
  • Manage day-to-day operation in-house and continually identify outsourcing/offshoring opportunities for mature transactional processes to enhance CoE capabilities
  • Operate within budget and submit reports within the pre-determined time frame

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

  • AVP of Order to Cash (O2C) Shared Service reports to the VP of Business Transformation and OR VP/SVP Finance

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

  • Several Finance departments will be accountable in a matrixed way to this position

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or Masters degree in Finance, BA or Economics
  • 5 years experience in consulting OR strategy and design of O2C operations
  • 3 years of experience in Business Process mapping, opportunity identification, process redesign and transformation
  • Experience in Automation strategy and design
  • Expert proficiency in MS Visio, Power point and Excel
  • Experience managing and strategizing for Order to Cash (o2c) functions including but not limited to Billing, Collections, Cash Application and related finance functions
  • Project management experience is a must and PMP certification is preferred
  • Finance, Accounting & Auditing background is preferred
  • Experience in:
    • creating shared services, Centres of excellence, consolidation
    • developing and implementing performance measurement frameworks for related finance functions in scope
    • outsourcing, transitions and on-going partner management
    • managing remote operations
    • managing business strategy, organizational design
    • Cost optimization / reduction through automation
    • leading multiple project teams simultaneously on relevant engagements
