Job Description
York Risk is hiring a Marketing/Senior Membership Services Manager in Springfield, IL!
The Marketing/Membership Services Director will be responsible for building and enhancing relationships with insurance pool members and brokerage partners, coordinating all member service activities, working in partnership with the sponsoring organization and brokers to identify trends that may impact insureds, and developing service ideas/models with the goal of aiding the insurance pool as a leader in its services and client benefits.
This position will require direct client interaction, interaction with service team members from various disciplines including risk management, claims, underwriting and brokers. The ability to be a dynamic strategic leader, with strong communication skills, and the ability to listen,understand, and address the needs of clients, as well as the ability to build strong relationships are essential.
Job Description
Develop and maintain relationships with insureds
Assist marketing agents (brokers) in securing and retaining business
Identify at-risk clients and assist in developing action plans
Coordinate service activities with marketing, risk control, underwriting, claims and administrative
In collaboration with all business partners, develop service ideas/models to advance the program
Collaborate with the sponsoring association to keep abreast of current events that may impact the insureds
Attend meetings and conferences of various related associations and present at such meetings when possible
Prepare and present service reports to the board of directors
Be a strong spokesperson and advocate on behalf of the insurance pool
Perform other related duties as required
EDUCATION:
BS / BA or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years of insurance or marketing experience, with an emphasis on client relations
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
Able to drive for extended periods of time with overnight travel
Up to 75% travel within the state of Illinois
Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to develop excellent working relationships with all levels of member staff management, department heads, supervisors, employees, volunteers
Excellent presentation skills and ability to lead group discussions
Strong initiative with the ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
Handle sensitive and confidential issues
