Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Reporting and Analytics will create a series of tools and databases to support the Global Sales and Client Services organization; these tools and databases will integrate a variety of sources including but not limited to Salesforce.com, the York billing systems, a variety of York claims systems, and Yorks Workday instance. The Director of Reporting and Analytics will be expected to build reports, customer insight tools and dashboards in such a way as to automate their production or to significantly reduce the manual intervention in their regular creation. In addition to the dashboards, the role will also be responsible for ad-hoc report creation as required and will support the development of territory plans, quota setting, and organizational design. A high degree of independence is required of the role. The role may also be asked to assist with claims reporting as well as assist with the cost models. The role also includes meeting with internal and external customers to understand their business processes and needs with the objective of determining solutions to support the business. This will sometimes require filling multiple roles to turn the customers needs into actual solutions as well as troubleshooting, fixing, and correcting issues on mission critical production systems. Success in this role will require initiative, ownership of activities from start to finish, and proactive communication.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop excel/Google Sheets or Tableau/Qlik based reports and dashboards for the GSCS organization
  • Provide on-going analytical support to the Executive Committee and overall organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the support available from the Sales Operations team and recommend potential solutions to business challenges
  • Manage quality of data within sales database and handle any imports of new data into the system or exports to other systems

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Modest levels of engagement on daily activities. Direction will be provided for strategic deployment of salesforce and for interaction with the sales organization and leadership. The role is expected to make decisions based on their knowledge of the situation and the strategic vision.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Currently there are no direct reports for this role, but as the sales organization grows, there is a strong possibility of additional sfdc roles being added to report to the Salesforce administrator

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, analytics or similar

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience developing and managing reporting and dashboard creation
  • Familiarity with relational databases and related concepts.
  • Demonstrated strong logical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Significant experience in SQL is a plus
