The Accounts Payable Representative II will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable process for Amtrust Surety. Primary responsibilities include preparing payment templates for operating expenses, issuing Commission, refund and claims checks for the P&C unit, and entering payables for the Surety Subrogation department and ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Assistant Division Controller or to the Accounting Manager.

• Receiving, coding, requesting and issuing payments as required.
• Effective communication with Supervisor, members of the Finance team, check requestors, Amtrust AP teams, and Vendors to provide a high level of customer service.
  Ability to perform in a high volume environment with deadlines, utilizing solid time management skills.
  Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
  Working with internal departments to conduct research and resolve transaction discrepancies as necessary.
  Dependable and reliable.

Qualifications:

Five or more years of experience in an Accounts Payable department, working with multiple entities, business units and departments.
Strong PC skills with the ability to maneuver between multiple systems proficiently. Experience with Microsoft Dynamic GP, Sage300 and Oracle EBS is a plus.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Hands on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high volume environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely.
Previous experience in a process-driven environment is preferred.
