GAINSCO Auto Insurance markets non-standard private passenger automobile products through retail agencies, in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Utah. GAINSCO Auto Insurance has fully integrated insurance capabilities, including marketing, underwriting, customer service and claims handling. Our operations are bilingual (English/Spanish).

Job Purpose: Lead a team that is responsible for successful execution of insurance processes. Promote a positive customer experience in all interaction. To place a strong emphasis in innovations, industry best practices, and effective use of resources.

Oversee the Policy Services and Agency Accounting Departments. Focus on developing a team to perform strongly and productively. Develop, manage, and monitor progress of customer relationship interactions and responsiveness to assure the teams provide all customers with exceptional service to support their needs.

Researches, implements, maintain and monitor processes that will lead to successful, consistent, and improved standards. Stay on top of technology enhancements to ensure that the team has the tools it needs to support their functions.

Determines department goals and expectations are met by maintaining department standards but strive to consistently improve and evolve. Focus in key elements of delegation.

Required behaviors for all positions:

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in P&C Insurance
  • Direct management experience of salaried and hourly employees
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment as well as work independently
  • Strong leadership skills set, time managements, and able to prioritize multiple processes.

Education:

  • Knowledgeable of Property & Casualty insurance underwriting
  • Preferred - P&C Insurance License
  • A completed Bachelors degree from an accredited university or 5+ years in P&C insurance.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage own time while prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information in order to evaluate results and choose the best solution to the problem.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgement in stressful situations
  • How to develop or improve processes and workflows
  • Manage and prioritize workloads
  • Work closely with other departments
  • Prepare and maintain various departments
  • Experience in managing across various employee levels, days, and shifts.
