Seeking a full-time, in-house Liability Supervisor in the York, PA location. Position involves daily responsibility for all aspects of technical file handling for claims arising out employment practices, wrongful acts, general liability and professional healthcare liability. Our national product offerings are comprised of special districts, schools, municipalities and police departments; emergency service organizations; commercial ambulance; religious institutions; and hospice/home health/senior living organizations. This position will require the effective oversight, direction and ongoing development of assigned staff for litigated and non-litigated claims. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret contracts and complex coverage issues and issue coverage letters; direct/plan/organize and control short-term and long-term efforts of assigned associates; monitor and manage the performance review process.
Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years handling complex and litigated claims with prior supervisory experience. Ability to work independently within assigned authority. Bachelors degree or equivalent transferrable industry experience. Must hold current state adjusting licenses or pass state licensing exams within an aggressive period of time. Must have or obtain the AIC designation and IIA Supervisory Management Certificate within an aggressive period of time. Some direct claim handling and travel required.
