Job Description

York is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - Qlik in our Dublin, OH office!

The Senior BI Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and administering Qlik Sense Applications to support business needs. The candidate needs to collaborate with business and IT to identify key business requirements. The ideal candidate needs to have experience in visual design and development with BI reporting tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Interact with business stakeholders / partners to understand their business and reporting needs, including critical metrics and KPIs
• Need to collaboratively work in a team based environment
• Design and develop dashboards, reports and solutions using Qlik Sense and NPrinting.
• Manage users using appropriate Active Directory Groups and assigning security as needed in Qlik.
• Configure Qlik Sense integration points with SQL databases.
• Manage Qlik Sense and NPrinting upgrades and administrative tasks
• Good in writing medium to complex SQL queries on any database
• Willingness to learn, and to innovate in a rapidly changing environment
• Train the business how to utilize the Qlik Applications

Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL
• Exceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and able to maintain focus in a rapidly changing environment
• Highly organized and able to communicate in details as well as abstractions
• Insurance and Risk Services and process improvement experience a plus
• Strong understanding of auditing, error handling etc
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Experience with data visualization and data modeling
• Experience with Qlik Technologies

EDUCATION:

• BS / BA or Equivalent Work Experience

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 to 7 years in a similar role.
