Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Coordinator position will remotely assign cases to a team of Field Consultants conducting insurance inspections by utilizing pre-established production reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assign work daily to a team of Field Consultants based upon current workload
  • Communicate with a specified number of Consultants each day to discuss inventory, inspection issues, late work and time of service
  • Assure proper coverage of assigned areas, meeting time of service goals
  • Assist the Field Consultants with any issues or questions and participating in daily meetings
  • Insure that each case assigned to a Consultant is progressing and is documented properly in the system

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

  • The Coordinator will attend daily meetings with the Manager to discuss time of service, inventory and needed coverage. Coordinator will work directly with the Manager to assure that customer expectations are being exceeded.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

  • The Field Coordinator assigns cases to a team of consultants, by identifying areas of needed coverage and attempting to balance the workload. The Coordinator works closely with each Consultant to assure that they are adhering to the practices and policies of BIS/FARA/YORK. He or she is focused on the management and progress of the Consultants workload.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • BS / BA or Equivalent Work Experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidates would ideally have work experience in the Insurance Inspection field or of managing a team of Field Reps.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Organization and Communication skills are essential.

  • Ability to engage with individuals that are not in the office, work independently and seek the advice of management when needed.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • An understanding of, or ability to learn, insurance coverages and construction classifications is a must

ROUTINE DECISIONS AND FORMAL POLICY SETTING:

Decisions routinely made include:

  • Problem solving, shifting coverage/inventory, motivate Field Consultants to complete assignments

  • No formal responsibility. Policies associated with the jobs purpose and essential responsibilities are set by others.
