Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Analyst/Business Administrator!

The Business Administrator maintains the financial data on the reconciliation tool (Blackline) and provides the status/aging information of reconciliations to management. This tool requires administrative functions which allows accurate tracking of reconciliations, planning/assigning due dates, and other functions to service the EBS enterprise. This position will continuously evolve during our transformation stage and have volume growth as Segment users on board to the application. The candidate is expected to participate in ongoing learning and engagement in a fast paced F&A shared service environment.

The ideal candidate should conform to the Shared Services strategy and be successful in collaborating with our offshore team.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance items surrounding reconciliations within the Blackline & eBSAR tool.

• Perform transaction research to identify owners of reconciliations and assign accordingly.

• Follow the risk rating policy to maintain/establish due dates in the reconciliation tool.

• Creates and maintains SOPs related to administrative functions.

• Organize data and analyze reconciliation results via Blackline reports to management.

• Interacts with the IT area while providing assistance with release testing to ensure the integrity and functionality of the tool.

• Develop and maintain relationships with business segments and stakeholders while providing assistance to the users.

• Assists in monitoring key performance indicators

• Maintain compliance with internal controls including SOX and MAR

• Assist to ensure team meets all deadlines and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Accounting or Finance or 3 years of accounting experience

Experience

• Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Blackline Reconciliation/Matching Module experience is preferred.
• Experience in working in a Shared Services Environment is preferred.

Knowledge/skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong collaboration and partnering skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Knowledge of financial practices, statutory accounting a plus

• Strong interpersonal/communication skills

• Ability to influence peers within EBS, segment and overseas partner

• Knowledge of Blackline a plus
