As a Senior Administrative Assistant on the Workers Compensation team, you are a key resource in moving our team forward! Working closely with the training specialist, you will perform a variety of complex tasks by managing, organizing, prioritizing and completing work within established guidelines and policies. Of course, you handle some more basic administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes and directing inquiries as well as maintaining and creating publications, brochures and presentations for different programs on the Claims team. You possess the initiative and go-getter mindset to investigate and troubleshoot issues while your manager is working with our customers. With your can-do attitude, you flawlessly manage your time, pay keen attention to all the details and employ your superior communication skills to partner with our team as well as our customers. Each day offers new challenges for you to tackle including:

  • Provides advanced administrative support, to a functional area, department or regional office.
  • Organizes workload to comply with deadlines and priorities.
  • Works independently to complete routine department or unit functions and prepare routine correspondence, reports, forms, etc. for review by Manager.
  • Carries out special projects and assignments as requested; compiles, analyzes and prepares data for administrative reports and presentations.
  • Resolves problems requiring knowledge of department policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in administrative assignments supporting department and/or regional management employees; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced skills in PC based software applications, PowerPoint, Excel & Word. Publisher experience is a plus.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to determine and respond to conflicting priorities.
  • Strong, demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Troubleshoot problems involving customers and service type issues
