How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:
The Insurance Operations Process Analyst works directly with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) to review and take action on operational process escalations relating to the administration of BHF new and inforce insurance policies and annuities contracts. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a consistent service experience by providing fast response and resolution time to TPAs, and consistent adherence to BHF Operations policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address operational escalations from TPAs that require review and approval from BHF relating to premium and billing / policy administration / claims (e.g., disbursement over prescribed threshold)
- Assist Advisor and Client Experience in addressing service-related complaints relating to operational processes
- Collaborate with Compliance to identify operational errors or inefficiencies and discuss process enhancements in accordance with applicable policies and procedures and state and regulatory requirements
- Work with Strategic Initiative Management to oversee change management processes regarding the maintenance of policies and procedures at the TPA and within BHF
- Act as subject matter expert for operations processes (e.g., assist with building business requirement documents, research and respond to inquiries received from the business to clarify procedures or process-related questions
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in the life insurance and annuity industry, with a focus on managing operational processes and workflows
- Proficient understanding of life and annuity sales channels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong annuity and life insurance product acumen
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Undergraduate degree required
