Job Details

The Business Unit Project Manager II manages the key aspects of project planning, implementation, and execution for the Extended Protection Program departmental projects and key initiatives. Projects may vary for small/medium projects with moderate risk and complexity, as well as high-risk, larger projects. Our Business Unit Project Manager II will work with various team members, internal customers to coordinate and execute the project/implementation plan. The Business Unit Project Manager will deliver the expected objectives in a timely manner to produce the anticipated outcome with high quality results.

  • Lead and/or participate in process development, represent operations in the harmonization of our Core Competencies and Best Practices in the development of new Programs, and assist in the training and deployment of those processes
  • Coordinate/identify meetings of key project participants for projects
  • Collaborate effectively with management and teams at all levels to accomplish goals
  • Lead project meetings/team efforts to ensure accomplishment of all sections/lifecycle of overall projects/portfolio
  • Communicate project information by creating and distributing project status reports, dashboards, participate on business boards/councils as needed to report out on assigned projects/portfolio, follow-up on project meeting action items
  • Adhere to defined methodology and manage project documentation (ex. IT work requests, minutes, charter, vision, org charts, action logs, risk/issue logs, status reports)
  • Manage and maintain project repository
  • Own and maintain project schedules (tasks/timelines).
  • Proactively adapt customer expectations and internal capabilities and integrate from and to other internal processes


Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration and or related field or 4 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years of experience in project management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in driving cross functional consensus and sustaining a sense of urgency
  • Experienced with processing complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data, and to effectively communicate the related actions to a broad audience

Other qualifications, skills or experience:

  • 4 years of experience in project management, preferred.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills- especially working with cross-functional teams- and the ability to present a professional image
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivations to work independently to meet organizational goals
  • Ability to prioritize and organize as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks
  • Word (high intermediate level), Excel (high intermediate level), PowerPoint (high intermediate level) and Visio (basic level)
  • Business function expertise.
  • Cross functional Portfolio Management expertise.
  • PMP Certification, preferred.
  • Ability to Manage projects with high complexity
  • Manage projects for internal stakeholders and large external stakeholders
