Our National Accounts Account Executive is responsible for selling new accounts and additional coverage to existing National Market accounts which may require in-depth analysis and special service functions. Acts as principle contact to coordinate policyholder services on a daily basis and assures account renewal.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, solicits and submits quality prospects.Surveys exposures, service arrangements, current coverage and service requirements.Submits applications to Underwriting, secures credit approval and coordinates Loss Prevention evaluations.
  • Effectively proposes and sells new business.Plans sales strategy including proposed coverages, services and rating plans.Negotiates with underwriting for authority to propose at a competitive price and plan.Prepares and presents proposal to prospect and coordinates service presentations with other departments as needed.
  • Identifies and satisfies customer needs through daily written and telephone contact.Participates in various policyholder oriented programs ensuring that potential problems are recognized, analyzed and that workable solutions are implemented.
  • Renews profitable accounts by reviewing coverages, services and alternative rating plans and products.Presents renewal proposal to insured, including premiums, pay plans, coverages, limits and options.
  • Monitors and coordinates the services of all departments to meet customer needs.
  • Participates in Risk Management and Team meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus
  • 7-10 years of progressively more responsible work experience in an insurance sales position
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful National Account Sales experience.
  • Must be licensed, if required by the state.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of company's services, products and marketing techniques, insurance contracts, funding and rating.
  • Requires highly effective oral and written communication skills, including presentation, persuasion, timing, tact and negotiation skills.
  • CPCU and /or Master's Level business degree encouraged.
